ODNW Nominations
The Order of the Diocese New Westminster (ODNW) is given to people in our churches who with their varied gifts devote their time and energy to serving God and God's church. Or as the application says "who have given outstanding service over a significant period of time in their volunteer ministry." We as a parish are invited to nominate a member of our parish to receive this honour.
The eligibility criteria for this Diocesan award are as follows:
Member of the laity.
Service in a volunteer capacity in the parish, and/or a number of parishes (on committees, parish councils, in special outreach, parish activities), and/or at the Diocesan level.
Service over a significant period of time.
Each parish is permitted to nominate one person.
Posthumous nominations are not accepted.
Nominees must accept their nomination, be willing to have their names recorded in the Register of the Order and consent to publicity of their investiture including publication of their photograph.
Everyone is encouraged to think and pray about who you might nominate to receive this honour this year, on behalf of St. Mary's. Please complete the online form by February 29th. The form is easy and quick and we all know you have people in mind that you want to put forward!
